About Me

I'm MaKayla Smith, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) since 2018, and I'm passionate about empowering families through effective parent engagement in ABA therapy. My experience spans a variety of settings—including center-based, home-based, and school-based services—where I've honed my expertise in collaborating with parents and caregivers to achieve the best possible outcomes for my clients. I'm a strong advocate for naturalistic teaching and person-centered approaches, as I believe that parents are essential partners in the therapeutic process. My dedication to parent training comes from firsthand experiences witnessing the transformative impact of strong parent-clinician collaboration. I'm committed to sharing my knowledge and insights to help fellow BCBAs® build meaningful partnerships with families and unlock the full potential of ABA therapy.
